PARK MAINTENANCE WORKER I – DISTRICT FACILITIES MANAGEMENT / ACU CREW – ADA NORTH / McCLELLAN

Post & Bid: This classification is subject to the Post and Bid process. Applications from a certification list, transfer change in class, reinstatement, re-employment, and training and development assignment candidates will be accepted for this position but consistent with the MOU/Bargaining Agreement BU12/13 contract cannot be acted upon unless the Post & Bid process does not result in a hire.

The reporting location for this position is 4940 Lang Avenue in McClellan, CA. This position will work under superivsion of the Park Maintenance Chief III.

The Park Maintenance Worker I (PMWI) will complete construction projects and remove accessibility barriers in various State Parks. Typical projects may include placement of concrete, campsite and picnic site work modifications, facility modifications and other skilled activities. The PMWI will require good administrative skills for record  keeping, reports, and purchasing of materials for projects using a State issued Credit Card (P-Card) and Purchase Orders (PAPO's) .

February thru November, the incumbent's work schedule will be Monday through Thursday from 6:00am to 4:30pm. During the months of December and January, the incumbent's schedule will be Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 3:30pm.

Training and Development Assignments may be considered.

Possession of a valid Class C driver’s license is required. You must answer the questions addressing your driver’s license on your application. Ensure you provide your driver’s license number, class, expiration date, and any endorsements and/or restrictions on your application.

This position is designated as not telework eligible.

Per California Code of Regulations (CCR) , this is a sensitive position, and therefore subject to drug and alcohol testing. It should be noted that testing is not mandatory but is allowed to be conducted only if and when there is a determination of reasonable suspicion as defined in CCR .
